MOVE OR BURN
Each turn you walk exactly one remaining edge — or delete a link to an empty star. You cannot burn your last escape. Land on a rival to capture them. The node goes dark.
Warkel's Node Wars is not a board of tiles. It is a living star map. Walk an edge. Burn a link. Capture a rival. Echo the same bounce and the line dies behind you. One HTML file. Zero installs. Instant browser play — then skin it, stamp your brand on it, and sell it as yours.

Twenty-five stars. King-move connections, then a handful of edges cut so the map stays tense and connected. You exist only on nodes. The fight is the graph.
Each turn you walk exactly one remaining edge — or delete a link to an empty star. You cannot burn your last escape. Land on a rival to capture them. The node goes dark.
Magenta relays grant one extra step (never a burn). Reverse the exact edge you just used and it collapses — ping-pong is suicide. Stillness pulses shear spare links if the fight goes quiet.
Isolated at turn start? Stranded. A quiet clock and a hard horizon force an ending. Last living operative with a remaining edge holds the constellation.
Node Wars ships as a single .html file. Open it in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or a WebView wrapper. No Steamworks. No runtime. No app store tax unless you want one. Host it, email it, drop it on itch, embed it on a landing page, or wrap it in Electron / Tauri / a cheap Android WebView and ship a store build.
Laptops, classroom Chromebooks, kiosk PCs, itch.io embeds, Gumroad file drops, newsletter bonuses, QR codes at events. Sound, CPU speed, and human/CPU mix are already in the HUD.
Edit the title. Change the factions. Recolor the sky. Tune lattice size, relays, stillness, and horizon. Then generate a fresh copy with the Windows Re-Brander and sell that copy under your studio name.
Graph combat is rare in casual HTML. Players feel smart the first time they burn a corridor or bait an echo collapse. That "aha" is what streams and screenshots are for.
Matches resolve. Horizon and stillness stop infinite stalling. Perfect for itch game jams, streamer breaks, classroom tournaments, and "one more constellation" loops.
Hotseat four humans or mix CPU hunters. Capture, isolate, pulse. Spectator-friendly colors. Easy to commentate. Easy to clip.
Send a link. They are playing in one click. That conversion path beats a 2 GB installer every day of the week.
The Re-Brander is a Windows tool: names, palette, lore, logo, rules sliders, then export a playable folder. Your cat logo. Your studio line. Your storefront.
One purchase of the pack becomes many products: default Node Wars, seasonal skins, school editions, client-branded giveaways, bundle filler, mailing-list bait.
List node_war.html on Gumroad, itch, Payhip, or your own checkout. Price a "supporter" tier with extra palettes. Bundle with other Warkel tools. Offer a classroom / site license.
Use Node-War_Re-Brander_Tool.exe to stamp a client's name, colors, and logo. Deliver a folder they can host. Charge a flat skin fee or a monthly "new constellation" retainer.
Embed the game iframe on a content site and run display / video ads in the chrome (never inside the canvas if you want a clean premium feel). Or gate the HTML behind an email capture and sell the list.
A brewery, a LAN, a Discord, a merch drop — they get a constellation in their colors. You keep the engine. They pay for the night sky with their name on it.
WebView / PWA / itch desktop wrapper. Paid app store listing plus the same file on the web. Two storefronts, one codebase.
Project the board. Four players on one machine (4 Humans mode). Entry fee, stream donations, merch QR on the pause of the win banner.
Point, type, pick colors, generate. No hand-editing 700 lines of JS unless you want to. The template is compiled into a single EXE.

The HTML game plus the Re-Brander is a product machine: play it tonight, white-label it tomorrow, put ads around it on Friday. Cut the graph. Keep the receipts.
