A warning pops with the exact file name. Yes means overwrite + delete. No means nothing changes. That confirm screen is there so you never wipe the wrong thing in a hurry.

Pass 1 paints every byte with zeros. Pass 2 paints every byte with ones. Pass 3 floods the file with random data. Then it reads the file back to verify the wipe. The green bar and the percent move the whole time.
